"Jeff is the master of the 'teachable moment.' "

- A Colleague

Jeff's classroom instruction is simultaneously rigorous and engaging; based on standards and yet still meaningful to students.  He truly makes his content 'come alive' and consistently maintains the students' attention and engagement.  He mixes traditional teaching methods with more innovative ones and fashions a blend that addresses a wide range of learning styles and maximizes student interest and achievement.

The key to being able to provide world-class instruction is effective classroom management. Over the years Jeff has become known for running an extremely positive, learning-oriented, safe, and well-administered classroom.  (He modestly acknowledges that it has been well over four years since he has written a disciplinary report on a student).  A substantial portion of Jeff's presentations are dedicated to how he (and other teachers from around the country) achieve and maintains this.  He takes the audience into his classroom and shows them how he maintains student engagement (and therefore eliminates behavioral issues).  He shows how he plans his school year, how he delivers instruction, how he assesses, and more!

Jeff's Principal

"I was sitting in Jeff Gulle's classroom when the 9/11 attacks were happening.  Now that I'm older I understand how amazing he was with a group of kids who didn't completely understand."
